How it Works
TalentPuzzle aims to render the employer-recruiter relationship as simple and transparent as possible. Signing up is free for both parties. We don’t charge the employer for posting a vacancy, nor do we charge the recruiter for submitting candidate CVs.
In case of a successful placement, TalentPuzzle charges the supplier a small commission. The commission varies depending on the type of supplier.
Existing Supplier means any supplier who had an existing contractual relationship with the employer prior to the introduction of TalentPuzzle. Any existing supplier shall be entitled to 100% of the fee. TalentPuzzle will not charge a fee.
Marketplace Suppliers do not have existing contractual relationships with a particular employer. Marketplace suppliers are entitled to receive 75% of the fee posted by the employer. For any repeat business within 12 months with the same employer, a marketplace supplier will be entitled to 85% of the fee.
If recruiter X is not an existing supplier
- TalentPuzzle pays recruiter X £7,500 or 75%* of the fee
- TalentPuzzle keeps £2,500 or 25% of the fee.
If recruiter X is an existing supplier
- TalentPuzzle pays recruiter X £10,000 or 100% of the fee
* this assumes a first placement. In case of a repeat placement with Company Y, Recruiter X receives 85% of the fee.

TalentPuzzle enters into a standard set of terms with each employer and with each recruitment supplier. This eliminates the hassle of each party having to negotiate and agree multiple sets of contracts, and enables an efficient marketplace. Each marketplace participant must agree to the terms and conditions as part of the sign up process.
Each employer may vary specific parts of these terms according to their requirements. Each supplier must agree to these variations when requesting engagement.
On the candidate’s start date, TalentPuzzle will invoice the employer for the specified placement fee which is due within 30 days. Upon the passing of the 60 days rebate period, we will transfer the relevant amount, as set out above, to the successful recruitment supplier.
If a candidate does not work out in the first 60 days, employers benefit from an 100% rebate. In this instance, TalentPuzzle will refund the full placement fee in cash.
All recruitment suppliers agree not to solicit any candidates from an employer where they have made a placement for a period of 12 months.
TalentPuzzle will transfer the appropriate amount, as set out above, to the successful recruitment firm after the 60 days rebate period is met.
TalentPuzzle will self-invoice on the candidate’s start date for the appropriate percentage of the placement fee, saving the recruiter time and effort.
Employers do not need to pay a placement fee for candidates whose CVs they have already received via a different source within the previous 180 days.
A recruitment supplier owns a candidate for 180 days after initial CV submission. If the employer hires the candidate during this period for any role within the company the employer owes a placement fee.
Prior to submitting a candidate’s CV, the recruiter must obtain the candidate’s approval and consent.
TalentPuzzle blocks duplicate CV submissions. However, should the system fail to prevent it, the recruiter who first submits the CV will represent the candidate in question. All CV submissions are time and date stamped.
